The first thing I did when I woke up was draw up a shopping list....

I figured it would cost me about $500 to make the lifestyle transition. This price included clothes, records, phonograph, art prints, and typewriter ribbon, reams of paper, etc.

It wasn't an enormous sum, but unfortunately I still had those rent/bill obligations to take care of.
